Filter option for hiding Image files within Document Registry

We have a problem with our Document registry that is highly cluttered with image files. Of our approx 3100 documents, 2800 of them are images that have poor filename conventions. This is having a significant impact upon the usability and perceived value of the Document registry.

I would like an ON/OFF filter to be added to the document configuration that allows you to exclude image files from general viewing. The files could still be retained in the registry, they would just be hidden from general viewing. This would allow other key process documents such as forms, guidance documents, templates, checklists etc to be more visible and accessible to the general user.

Image files do not require the same level of document control functionality (e.g assigned owner, review cycles, change control etc) so it makes sense to manage them differently.

Thank you very much for posting your feedback. At this time, we will not be adding this request to the near-term backlog, as we are focused on improving our search and process variation capabilities and delivering sequential approvals. However, we reevaluate requests every quarter and will reach out if priorities change. Please keep the feedback coming as it is critical for our longer-term planning.

I agree that after a few months we have 1000’s of images that I do not need to review and these are starting to clutter up everything

in addition to being able to filter the images, sometimes you wont know what type of document you are looking for, eg a guide or information are similar, so it would be helpful to be able to select a few of the types of documents you may be looking for, rather than only one at present.
