Capability to load a file into a task form

Any updates on this?

Stumbled into that one recently.

I'm trying to develop a bunch of easy and self contained forms within Nintex, and the least I can say is that it's not easy.

Once the file is uploaded in the start form there's pretty much nothing I can do with it beside hosting it elsewhere or send it as an attachment to an email.

Why offer storage capacity with no ways of retrieving the data ? Just a workflow item to get the link of the uploaded file(s) would be enough.

Waiting for this feature too.

Uploading files to external data source just to get an Download URL is very inefficient. Not mentioning using extra steps & make manage process more complex to achieve it, but also using extra file storage that is linked to pay grade of cloud storage service.

Since files are come in as a Blob files collection, making Downloadable URL is quiet simple by using JS.

As it already supported via view submitted form.

Can't we use file upload like other controls in form variable? Show data by drag-drop from form variables.

Just extracting downloadable URL by card is OK too.

This is a common issue for task management. I would say files are 50% of task management. In my opinion, this is an imperative feature for task management since we learned recently with failed workflows, that Outlook has file size limitations.

If you add files via hyperlinks from a SharePoint source, we have to go through extra loops and steps for security since users have to have, at minimum, read rights to the source - sometimes we cannot allow this due to business requirements or security risks. It would make the most sense if files are made available on TASKS since Nintex already provides a level of security on the tasks - only visible to task assignee(s).
