Add hyperlink to an email address in a process

In a process we want staff to send an issue to a shared mail box but we are unable to make the email address a hyperlink.

We have embedded an email in a process by using a linked document that points to an .msg file (stored on a sharepoint site). The .msg email can have the desired email address and any other pro former details you might require.

You can make a link to a shared mailbox using the add Weblink option.

Simply change http:// to mailto: followed by the email address.

    mailto:email@domain.com.au

Thanks for the feedback. This isn't on our roadmap right now, but as others have kindly stated there are some workarounds which achieve the same result:
If you want a email template you can use a .msg file as a document. If you want a blank email you can use mailto:[email address] in a weblink and clicking it will open a blank email in your default mail account.

From a training/onboarding perspective we encourage the following:
    1. Create your email template in outlook with the email address, subject and information in the body (more is better here - easier to delete than remember to put in something)
    2. Ensure the signature is removed
    3. File > Save as > outlook template (.oft message)
    4. Upload to the process like any other attachment (using Information as the category)

Hope that helps - we used to use these templates a lot to ensure consistency

We've had great luck with the mailto: formatting for web links, to include using subject and body info. You just need to make sure any spaces in the URL are replaced with %20

This feature is not planned for in our near term roadmap at this stage, however we'll continue to monitor interest, and update the status of this idea as our plans change.
