Enable Search Filtering and Results for Weblinks in Nintex Process Manager

We would like to propose an enhancement to the Search functionality within Nintex Process Manager to better support organisations that use weblinks rather than uploaded documents.

In our organisation, we do not store controlled documents directly in Process Manager. Instead, all approved documents are managed in Deltek PIM, and our processes, procedures, and policies in Process Manager link back to these documents via weblinks.

Currently, when users search in Process Manager using a document name, weblinks are not included in the search results, even though they are the primary method we use to access controlled documentation. This creates a usability gap, as users are unable to locate relevant content unless they already know exactly where it sits.

Proposed enhancement:

• Include weblinks in Search results

• Add a “Filter by Type” option within Search results, with Weblinks available as a selectable filter (alongside documents, processes, etc.)

Benefits:

• Improves search accuracy and user experience

• Supports organisations that use external document management systems as their single source of truth

• Reduces user frustration

This enhancement would significantly improve accessibility and usability for organisations using Process Manager as a process framework while managing documents externally.
