It would be a good improvement to add a new Service Broker for OData which support the Version 4 because the current only support the Version 3. Further this new Service Broker should can handle Request and Response in JSON and not only in XML.
Because e.g. the Service Layer (OData Service) from SAP Business One supports OData Version 3 and 4 but this only handle Requests/Responses in JSON and not in XML. So it would be a good improvement for the Product if the newer OData Version will be supported out of the Box and this can handle both XML and JSON Requests/Responses.
Does this mean that Version 5.8.1 includes a service broker that supports OData v4 with JSON and XML Requests/Responses?
As this is part of the Idea too.

Did it also include processing response messages on status codes other than 200?

Support for OData V4 was released in K2 5.8.1.
It also would mean better integration with D365. We use Finance and Operations and have to use the REST broker because of the OData broker still being on v3. The REST broker loses us the functionality of the OData queries e.g . $filter etc. and therefore some things we have to use PowerAutomate to do instead. So I'm all in favor of this one as would create more value for our business and enhance our customer onboarding process.
