Tagging an entire process

Our organisation has a need to tag processes and documents according to which regulatory standard they align to. We'd like to use Lean tags for this. However, Lean tags can be applied to activity or task levels and show up in line with the text. It would be helpful to be able to tag and report on entire processes and documents using the same tagging system (currently tags can't be the same for Lean and documents), and for this not to display in line with the process name. Perhaps it could appear in the summary section.

Hi Gary, use of Tags allows us the ability to utilise the map functionality. It is extremely useful for compliance purposes and in audits to demonstrate how the system meets the requirements of legislation, Standards and other key requirements. Using keywords means we could no longer leverage this functionality. Should you wish to see how we are using this as a customer, I would be very happy to provide a demonstration.

Lean Tags are specific to identified process improvement opportunities, therefore are probably not the best to use for tagging regulatory or statutory requirements. It may be better to use the Keywords field in the Process Summary, which then could be report via the Process Search Report. A way to make the search keyword defined is to specify the keyword using # at the start e.g. #Legal-Act-2020. Using # also speeds up the search function.

We also strongly need this functionality to use tags for entire process. We are having to add in tasks which causes confusion and looks messy.

yes, it makes sense to use tags in the keywords section of the summary. Have tested this and it doesn't work to add the process to the lean map for that tag.

Our organisation would benefit from being able to tag processes in the summary section to show where regulatory standards apply, and also processes that are in scope of large project we undertaking.

Our organisation would like to use tags so that we can identify and search for process and sub-process types for reuse or auditing. It would also be helpful to be able to tag a Policy or Standard which applies to the process or sub-process. It would provide granularity around how we organises and use processes.

Tagging and the ability to search using Tags (metadata) is what makes a database such as Promapp useful.
