Ability to create new roles within the Add User function

I often need to add a large number of new users at a time. It is very time consuming, and I don't know if their role exists unless I have a separate screen open to search the roles, and then add new roles if needed.
It would be a big time saver if I could do this within the Add User screen, where I could click on "Add Role/Responsibility" and if the role isn't available, I could have the option to add a new one and assign to that new user from the same screen, rather than having to close the add user screen, go to the add role screen, add the role then go back to the user I had just created to assign it.

Have you considered importing new users instead?

When you use the import function you can (optionally) choose to have Promapp create new roles if the role doesn't yet exist.

The template to use is available from the Users screen.

We use the import function weekly to create new users and it has worked well for us.

Thanks Noala for the tip. I will look into this.
How would this be treated if the role already exists though?

I still think there is merit in my idea as I may only be adding one or two new users/roles and would rather do it via Promapp itself, not the CSV

Mandy, if the role already exists, you would include that role against that person on the csv. It won't create a second role of the same name (unless it is spelt differently).

Thanks for the idea. As another user kindly suggested you can use the CSV import. However we'll open this for voting to gauge interest from other clients for the specific feature of adding roles through the Admin > User page.
