improve data lookup control with multi-value fields and more

The new Data Lookup control in the Forms designer needs at least these three additional features:
[1] Support for multi-value fields (really needed soon)
[2] Allowing multiple Option Labels that will show as multiple columns in the pull down.
[3] Selecting a field to sort the option list by.

    Hi all,

We are currently working on the ability to return multiple properties from a Data Source. Will update this feature when I have more to share.

    Cheers,

    Hello,

Great News! Choice-Multiple control now supports choice options from external data sources. This effectively provides multi-select for data lookup - a powerful capability that eliminates workarounds and limitations posed by external data support. The linked video shows a detailed demonstration. Help documentation can be found here.

    Thanks!

    Hi Wouter,

    Thanks for your feedback :)

I was wondering if you could clarify a few things for me so I can ensure I understand your feedback:

[1] Can you clarify what you mean by multi-value fields? Are you talking about multi-select functionality - where the user can select multiple options in the dropdown?
[2] I'm a little unclear on this one too. Could you perhaps provide an example?
[3] Adding sort functionality to our connectors is on the backlog

    Cheers,

    Rob

Thanks @Rob for your response. Let me clarify.
[1] Yes, also called multi select. See mockup example below.
[2] Let me try to attach a sample. But again: it's just a mockup.I put in all the option settings I think that should be in.

Adding to this, it would be great if we could choose to return more than one option value from a dropdown (separate to the display value).
To account for both multi and single-selection data lookups (assuming multi-selection lookups get added), this could return a collection of objects, where each object contains all the row data for that selection.

Making it configurable which columns are returned in this object would be even better, though I would assume this would rely on the system being queried to have an endpoint for the response schema.

yea we need this to. Its really necessary to retrieve multiple field or the whole data set.

For now you have to use this workaround, which works for a sharepoint list.
