Read-only property for a repeating section

With the introduction of pre-population of repeating sections, the control has become much more useful and can be used to represent previously entered data on forms. We have the use case of showing previously entered data in a read-only way on a form and it work great apart from the fact the users are still able to add new rows to the repeating section which is undesired as it creates confusion.

It would be great if the repeating section could have a Read-Only property which would remove the Add new row button. As an alternative it would be great if the Maximum number of rows could be dynamically set to disable the button, but this is not an option. Another way could be to use JavaScript to hide the button, but the client has got this turned off and is not an option.
