Fix historical data used with data sources and tables (data)

We have realized early on that data sources and tables are a great source for choice fields or lookup fields however, when filters and conditions apply to these sources that are no longer applicable (the condition isn't met after the fact), start event data, form submissions and task history are impacted with blank values!

Please find a solution to convert these types of fields in the system to text for historical purposes vs "reloading" a data source or table that has conditions that are no longer being met! The following circumstances or components need to be addressed to fix this issue from what we have identified:

• Tasks: Any task in the Tasks (My Nintex) section that is not active. These are historical records at this point, convert these types of fields to TEXT!

• Form Submission: Any record under form submissions. These are also historical information and a record at this point - convert to text.

  • Resubmittal feature - may pose to be a challenge - the system would have to be able to resubmit with a value that no longer meets a condition or something but I don't know enough about resubmittal feature to provide feedback on this feature.

  • Copy of form feature - this should be fine assuming you are only copying what can be copied, if the output value is no longer part of the filter/condition of a lookup displaying table or data source object - then so be it. This should be ok.

• Instances: Any record in instance within the instance start data section should be converted as TEXT.

  • When we open an instance, the start event forms are always blank when condition is no longer met. We lose visibility of what was actually submitted!
