Need ability to get attachment file names for an item without having to call a web service.

I would like an easy way to get the attachment file names for a particular SharePoint item. Currently, the only way to do that is via a web service call. Since my organization requires that I change my password periodically, the only way to do this is via a special system account which my org is unwilling to grant due to security reasons.

If there were an Item Property called "Attachment names," that would do the trick.
