In K2, we can build rules based on events and inherit other rules within a rule (Cascade rules). Cascade rules are indeed practical. On a daily basis, we build and maintain a substantial number of rules, especially cascade rules. The more rules we have, the more time is needed to maintain them, since we must open each rule by clicking on it.
Regarding cascade rules, it is even more time-consuming. We must open and close a string of pop-up dialogs just to comprehend the logic of the rule.
Hence, we would like to recommend a Rules Editor. The following image, based on Microsoft Visual Basic, shows a solution for this issue. As seen below, all rules are in the Rules Editor and can be maintained efficiently. Furthermore, developers can copy and edit the rules using keyboard shortcuts as needed. This feature will add value to this tool and increase productivity in application development. Please consider including this feature in the next update.
